Passport Days At The Post Office

Planning to travel? Need a passport?

The Newtown Post Office will have a Passport Day on Saturday, February 10, from 1 to 3 pm, at the post office, 5 Commerce Road.

Evidence of US citizenship or nationality must accompany each passport application. Acceptable information includes a previous passport or birth certificate with a raised seal.

Anyone applying for a new passport will need to bring a photo ID (driver’s license, military ID, previous passport) and their birth certificate with them.

Children under the age for 14 must have both parents with them to apply for a passport. If both parents are unable to be present, see instructions on the Passport Application, Section 5, Present Parental Application Permission Documentation.

Fees are as follows: Passport fee for those age 16 and over are $67, and $52 for those ages 16 and under. An additional $30 Passport Execution fee applies for everyone, and an optional expedited service is available for an additional $60.

Fees are paid separately. Passport fees are paid to the Department of State by check or money order, and Passport Execution fees are paid to the USPS in cash, money order, or check.

Photo service will also be available at a cost of $15 per person.

Passports In Hawleyville

In addition to daily passport services, the Hawleyville Post Office will hold Passports in the Afternoon after the close of regular business on Saturdays, February 24, March 31, and April 28. The post office will be open for passport service only from 1 to 4 pm each afternoon.

Due to the limited lobby space at 30 Hawleyville Road (Route 25), passports will be processed by appointment only.
