Valentine Boutique For

Canines, Felines And Humans

Canine Advocates of Newtown (CAN) will present a Valentine Boutique & More Sunday, February 4, at C.H. Booth Library. The event will run from 1 to 4:30 pm.

“There is plenty of time for people to do some early shopping for Valentine’s Day and still be home to see the Super Bowl,” CAN president Virginia Jess said.

The event will offer jewelry by Robin Brindley, valentine treat bags for canine friends; hand-knit items for humans, canines and felines; bandanas and pillows decorated by Girl Scout Troop 694, valentine cat toys, and framed dog and cat silhouettes. Also, Gene Rosen will be making appointments for those who would like to send their valentines with their pet’s stamp on it.

The first 25 shoppers will be treated to a gift bag of gourmet chocolates from the recently opened Newtown Chocolatier.

Two more participants were added during the past week. Artist Jennifer Ganser, who does pet portraits in most mediums and on any surface, will be taking orders for her work. Pet owners should bring a photo of their pet.

And pastry chef Joanna Perkins will offer samples of her work and will be taking orders for Valentine’s Day cakes.
