The RSO Quartet, featuring the principal string players from Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra, will perform for the first time in Newtown on Saturday, March 11, at 7 pm, at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street.

Violinists Jorge Avila and Mialtin Zhezha, violist Suzanne Corey-Sahlin, and cellist Nicholas Hardie plan to present a marvelous, engaging concert of world-class chamber music featuring both traditional and contemporary classical pieces.

RSO Executive Director Laurie Kenagy says the professional artists of the quartet “are both exceptional musicians and engaging performers who truly enjoy sharing the experience of live music with their audience.

“We are excited to bring chamber music back to the beautiful and historic Edmond Town Hall,” she added. “It is such a wonderful venue!”

A pre-performance reception is planned at 6:30.

Tickets are $40 adults, $35 senior citizens, $10 for students, and are available at ridgefieldsymphony.org/rso-quartet.

The concert is also sponsored by Nanavaty, Davenport, Studley, White LLP and Armel & Valerie Kouassi of Newtown, and Gary & Susie Singer of Ridgefield.

RSO Quartet — from left, Jorge Avila, Mialtin Zhezha, Suzanne Corey-Sahlin and Nicholas Hardie — will perform their second concert of the 2022-23 season, and their first at Edmond Town Hall, in mid-March.
