Mildred Aldino

Mildred Aldino, 91, of Stratford, widow of Leonard P. Aldino, died February 15, at Milford Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, March 14, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Anna Basco Nakonechni (Nakoneczny).

Survivors include a sister, Helen Janisch of Newtown; her beloved children Robert J. Aldino and his wife, Andrea, of Shelton and Lorraine Zitnay and her husband, George, of Cape May, N.J.; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Alex Nakonechni (Nakoneczny), and two sisters, Eva Eggers and Natalie Beddings.

Mrs Aldino was an assembler at Schick in Milford before her retirement.

She was a member of the Baldwin Center of Stratford and the Shelton Senior Center. She enjoyed baking, gardening and especially traveling, as well as ballroom and country western dancing with her husband, in earlier years.

Funeral services will take place Saturday, February 22, at 10:30 am, in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Visiting hours will take place Saturday morning from 8 to 10 am, in the Dennis & D'Arcy-Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford, prior to services. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport.
