Thankful For The ETH Theater
Thankful For The ETH Theater
To the Editor:
A recent letter to the editor criticizing the film choices at Edmond Town Hall âlooks a gift horse in the mouth.â While ticket prices skyrocket at local first-run theaters (not to mention exorbitant concession prices), the Edmond Town Hall Theater consistently offers a balanced variety of films, rated G through R, to appeal to the entire community.
Mr Tom Mahoney, Edmond Town Hall building administrator, is responsible for the theater and has done an exemplary job. He obviously commits a tremendous amount of thought to the logistics of showings and the selection of appropriate movies.  The general public may not have noticed that Mr Mahoney meticulously schedules family oriented movies during school holidays,  (Stuart Little is expected during Newtown public schoolâs March vacation) or that the price of admission has not gone up in years.Â
The Edmond Town Hall Theater is one of the quaint features of Newtown. We thank Mr Mahoney for committing himself to carefully preserving this wonderful aspect of our home town.Â
See you at Angelaâs Ashes and donât forget to patronize the concession stand.
