Women Involved in Newtown (WIN) will be assembling Easter Baskets on March 13 for distribution to local children in need. The local group is in need of gently-used stuffed animals, candy, and baskets to complete these holiday treats.

The group last year assembled 165 Easter baskets for distribution through two Town agencies and two local churches in time for the holiday.

Donations can be dropped off at Newtown Community Center, 8 Simpson Street; or delivered to the home of WIN member and project organizer Mandy Monaco, at 1 Beckett Village, in Sandy Hook, until March 13. The final collection of donated items will be picked up that afternoon, according to Monaco, and used within the assembly that evening.

New this year, WIN can also accept financial donations through PayPal. Click here to make a donation online.

For additional information contact Monaco at 203-426-5600.
