The Spring Bunny is getting ready for egg hunts, and has adapted this year so that children can still have fun even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Newtown Parks & Recreation has announced “Egg Dash At Your Home,” for Newtown families who would like visits from the Spring Bunny.

The cost is $25 per family, which will include the delivery of filled plastic eggs and time for photos with the Spring Bunny. The bunny will arrive with Parks & Rec staff members, and will spend approximately ten minutes at each home.

Eggs will be delivered Saturday or Sunday, March 20 or 21.

Registration is required by March 11, and can be done by contacting Newtown Parks & Recreation at 203-270-4340 or through its website, newtown-ct.gov/parks-recreation. The event is Activity #314501-A.

A schedule will be provided to those who register.

Yards must be safe for staff to visit. A location may be skipped at the discretion of staff if there is a safety concern.

Face masks will be worn and social distancing rules will be followed.

Contact Parks & Recreation for additional information.
