Route 34 Accident

Police report a three-vehicle accident on westbound Route 34 about 7:11 am March 3.

Motorist Allen Bantz, 54, of 5 Bennetts Bridge Road, who was driving a 2003 Dodge pickup truck, collided with the rear end of a stopped 2001 Dodge pickup truck driven by David Martinez, 32, of Shelton, pushing the 2001 Dodge into the rear end of a stopped 1997 Nissan Altima driven by Christopher Porto, 39, of Derby, police said.

There were no injuries. Police issued Bantz an infraction ticket for following too closely.
