The 2024 season opener for Town Players of Newtown is a production of Boeing Boeing, written by Mark Camoletti and translated by Beverly Cross and Francis Evans, set to open this weekend.

Performances at The Little Theatre, 18 Orchard Hill Road, are planned for March 8-23, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 and Sunday afternoons at 2.

There is also a special Thursday evening performance planned for March 21.

Tickets are $25 for Friday and Saturday shows, $20 for Thursday and Sunday shows. Tickets are available at newtownplayers.org.

Boeing Boeing takes place over a single long and hectic day in the life of Bernard (Phil Lorenzo), an American in Paris who has contrived a “foolproof system” for juggling three fiancees — Gloria (Emily Roberson Dos-Santos), Gabriella (Patricia White) and Gretchen (Emily Ramsey) — stewardesses from different countries who fly on different airlines. During the day Bernard is also visited by an old friend, Robert (Gus Bottazzi).

The production is being directed by Terry Sagedy, with stage manager Patricia Berg and producers Tracy Nashel & Roberto Perez.
