2. If a leaky faucet fills a coffee cup in ten minutes, it will waste enough water for 52 baths, so... Calling all kids! Be a water leak detective. Put 12 drops of red food coloring in the top of the toilet, wait 15 minutes. (Don’t let anyone flush it.) The check the bowl. If the water is red, there’s a leak!

3. Adopt a stream. If the water is muddy, plant plants along its bank; pick up garbage and don’t let your pet drop waste near the stream.

4. Snip six-pack rings with sizzors [sic] before throwing away. Even better, don’t get six-pack rings.

5. Adopt an endangered animal. Go to worldwildlife.org and select “Adopt” to help. Also, kids, if you adopt an animal it comes with a stuffed animal.
