TrumbulL â St Vincentâs Medical Center of Bridgeport is sponsoring a free talk open to the general public on âCaring for Aging Feetâ as part of its Listen & Learn Lecture Series for Club 50 members. The talk will take place Thursday, April 19, from 11 am to noon, at Spring Meadows, 6949 Main Street.
Featured speaker Carmen Luciano, DPM, will identify common foot conditions and explain how they can be prevented and what the current treatment options are, as well as dispel some of the current myths about foot ailments.
Dr Luciano graduated from the University of Bridgeport and earned a bachelor of science and a doctorate of podiatric medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine. After completing his residency at California Podiatry Hospital, he founded a group practice in Fairfield in 1976 and served as an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr Luciano currently conducts a private practice in Monroe, where he specializes in diabetic wound care, pediatric podiatry, sports medicine, and orthotics.
