Egg Hunt Eggstravaganzas

Newtown’s Parks and Recreation Department will host two egg hunt events this weekend. Both will be at Dickinson Park, on Elm Drive.

The 2nd Annual Flashlight Egg Hunt will begin at 6:30 pm on Friday, April 7. Participants should bring their flashlights and meet at the park’s pavilion.

This program is for ages 9 to adult. Registration is requested; call the Parks and Rec Department at 270-4340.

Rain date will be April 14.

On Saturday, April 8, children ages 3 to 8 are invited to the Spring Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza. There will be hunts for two age groups — ages 4 and under, and for ages 5–8. All children should bring their own bag to hold eggs.

Parents are asked to be at the pavilion shortly after 10 am; the egg hunt will being at 10:30 sharp.

There will be a special appearance by the Easter Bunny, prizes throughout the hunt, and a Jelly Bean Guess.

If needed, rain date for this event will be April 15.
