William F. Sedor

Dynamite Expert

William F. Sedor, 72, of Waterbury, died March 31 at St Mary’s Hospital. He was the husband of Maureen A. (Fortier) Sedor. Mr Sedor was born in Woodbury on August 14, 1933, son of William, Sr and Florence (Lattin) Sedor. He grew up in Newtown.

He served in the US Army as a paratrooper in Berlin, Germany. He was known to be an expert in the field of dynamiting, having worked for various construction companies in Connecticut and Oklahoma. His hobbies included fishing and hunting.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, William Sedor, III, of Oklahoma and Jim Fuhrmannof West Hartford; four daughters, Ann Sedor of Oklahoma; Christine Midolo of Southington; Cynthia Ericson and Lori Torres, both of Montville; four brothers, Paul Sedor of Brookfield; Steve Sedor of Braintree, Vt.; Donald Murray of Chester, Vt.; and Ralph Sedor of Sharon; ten grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lorriane (Shirley) Bolmer; and a stepmother, Colombe Y. Sedor.

Funeral services were held April 4 at The Albini Family Funeral Home, Waterbury. Burial was at New Pine Grove Cemetery.
