Newtown High School's boys' volleyball team, coming off a 3-0 loss at Joel Barlow of Redding on April 15, got back into the win column with its second 3-1 victory over Danbury this spring, winning on home court on April 20.

The Nighthawks prevailed by set scores of 23-25, 25-14, 25-20, 26-24. Noel McLeod had 29 kills, 19 digs, and a pair of blocks. Ian Akbas logged nine kills and ten digs.
