Occupation: I work for the Town of Newtown as a telecommunicator and have so now for three years. I have been a telecommunicator for 14 years and can’t imagine myself doing anything else.

Family: I am married, of five years, and have two fur babies. I have a good size family with both of my parents being remarried and they are all friends, which makes it wonderful! Family is very important to me and I love to spend time with them. I have a niece and nephews. I love being an aunt and enjoy my time with them and then they go home. LOL. I feel blessed with having a close family.

Pets: I have two cats. My 8-year-old is named Cat and he is a very loving and snuggling cat. My 4-year-old is named Mason and he is very energetic and feisty. Well, let me just say he keeps us on our toes.

What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family. Family times means a lot to me, and I cherish the time I have with each and every one of them. I also love doing crafts. I enjoy creating things and making people happy with my creations.

What is your favorite book? I love to read and have been enjoying the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. They are a fictional book series about a girl that starts working for her crazy cousin in bail bonds and, well, let’s just say they are very entertaining and funny and they keep you wanting to read more.

What is your favorite travel destination? I will have to say that one of my favorite places to travel to is St Augustine, Florida. Not only is it beautiful there, but I also have family there and enjoy seeing them. Another plus is that Gatorland is not that far and I think that alligators are some amazing animals.

What is the best part about Newtown? The best part of Newtown would have to be the flagpole. I mean what other town has a flagpole in the middle of the road?!

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? I am going to say that my parents are the greatest influence on my life. My father is a retired sergeant from Connecticut State Police and he has taught me to respect and help others. My mother has taught me how to be a strong independent woman that I am today. I also want to note that my parents have also shown me that even through differences you can come together and be a family. They each gave me some awesome extra (step) parents. My parents are some of my very best friends.

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose and why? If I could spend the day with one person, I would have to choose my grandmother. I was very close to my grandmother and she passed when I was 13 years old, so spending the day with her would just be amazing. I always enjoyed our time together, and if I had the chance to spend time with her as an adult, I definitely would have to choose that.

Who is your favorite musical artist? My favorite music artist would have to be Tim McGraw. I have seen Tim McGraw in concert over 40 times, and still enjoy every concert like the first. I would say I am a fan.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? The greatest piece of advice I have been given would have to be, “Do not smell a scratch-and-sniff sticker on the bottom of the pool…” I mean, that is some advice to live by, for sure. Now for a more serious one, I would say, “Treat others as you want to be treated.” This is not always the easy thing to do, but I do try my best.

What is something you cannot live without? I have a tie here for what I cannot live without. One is Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew from Starbucks. I love, and I mean love, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. It definitely should be available all year long. Family is the other, since I am very close with my family and enjoy being with them. I would have to say I am very family oriented. See, the struggle is real.

What is your proudest accomplishment? My proudest accomplishment is being an aunt/Godmother and that I feel they can look up to me as not only someone who loves them unconditionally, but also who helps others in their darkest moments. I feel very blessed to be able to have this impression on their lives.
