Anna R. Dutko, 87, of Newtown, formerly of Bridgeport and Lewisville, Texas, died May 1, surrounded by family at Masonicare of Newtown. She was born May 5, 1926, in Caklov, Czechoslovakia, and emigrated to the United States just before World War II.

While living in Texas, she worked as head housemaid at the Summit Hotel in Dallas. She loved order and beauty and was a perfect fit in the hospitality industry. It made her happy to be of service to others and she was a very giving person. After moving back to Connecticut, with her husband Joseph, she lived in Newtown to be close to family and help in caring for her husband, before his passing.

Survivors include daughters Donna Hair and Deborah Dutko, both of Fairfield; son Stephen of Seattle; brothers Joseph and John Ungrady, both of Shelton; a sister, Veronica Faroni of West Grove, Penn.; three granddaughters, Jessica of Los Angeles, Lara of Lone Tree, Colo., and Molly of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three grandsons, Richard of Little Elm, Texas, Stephen of Brooklyn, and Joseph of Odessa, Texas; and four great-grandchildren. Her husband; her beloved eldest son, Joseph Richard; an infant daughter, Mary Anne; her sister Mary Urich; and her brother, Michael Ungrady predeceased Mrs Dutko.

Funeral services took place Monday, May 5, at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, Trumbull, and St John the Baptist Church. Internment was in St Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford.

Memorial donations may be made to Masonicare Home Health and Hospice, Newtown, at www.Masonicare.org.
