The Newtown Police Department is searching for a 17-month-old child, Blue McGrath, who is the subject of a Silver Alert.

Blue McGrath is a white female with brown hair and blue eyes, and weighs approximately 24 pounds, according to a release issued by the PD. She is likely with her father, Brennan McGrath, who has been uncooperative with police, DCF, and child custody orders from the court.

Brennan McGrath is a Newtown resident described as a 33-year-old white male, 5’10” tall, with blue eyes, and is bald with a red beard, also according to the alert.

Brennan McGrath may be driving a white Lexus or blue McLaren.

Brennan McGrath has kept Blue away from her mother for an extended period of time, according to the statement. Brennan McGrath is now in violation of a temporary child custody order issued by court.

After Brennan McGrath refused repeated requests to comply with this order, the Silver Alert was issued for Blue McGrath on the evening of May 5.

Newtown Police Department is seeking the public’s help to bring this matter to a safe resolution.
