Free Programs On In Vitro Fertilization

FARMINGTON — Specialists with the Center for Advanced Reproductive Services at the University of Connecticut Health Center will lead informational sessions about current treatments for infertility and specifically, in vitro fertilization (IVF), on May 6 and 20, at the health center. Both sessions will run from 6 to 8:30 pm.

Specialists in the field of reproductive endocrinology lead the free programs: Claudio Benadiva, MD, John Nulsen, MD, and Donald Maier, MD. The physicians present an informational session, typically once or twice each month, for couples that are interested in learning more about IVF. For each program, the doctors include an in-depth explanation of the IVF process and discuss some of the emotional issues surrounding IVF.

For all sessions, preregistration is required. For more information, directions, and registration, call 860-679-4580 or visit www.fertilitycenter-uconn.org.

The Center for Advanced Reproductive Services offers many advanced techniques to help patients achieve successful pregnancies. UConn, one of the first IVF centers in Connecticut, is now the largest center in the state.
