Vineyard Can Help With The Mystery Of Wine

McLaughlin Vineyards in Sandy Hook announces the schedule of a new education series, “The ABC’s Wine Tasting.” On Saturdays, May 15, June 1, and August 21, at 1 pm, students will spend the afternoon learning the art and science of wine tasting with vineyard owner Morgen McLaughlin.

Attendees will learn first-hand how grapes are grown, how wine is made, and how climate, soil, and winemaking techniques affect wine. Ms McLaughlin will also cover proper serving techniques for wine and what foods to serve with wine.

This class is for both novice and experienced wine tasters. Students will taste several wines from other area vineyards as well as these of McLaughlin Vineyards. Participants are responsible for their own lunch, which will be enjoyed while overlooking the vineyards.

Cost is $25 per person and each class will cover different topics. For more information call Morgen McLaughlin at 426-1533 or send an email to info@McLaughlinVineyards.com. The vineyard is on Albert’s Hill Road in Sandy Hook.
