Newtown High School's boys' volleyball team bounced back from a 3-0 loss at Conard of West Hartford on April 29 and a 3-1 setback at Pomperaug of Southbury on May 1 with a 3-0 victory over visiting Bunnell of Stratford on May 4.

In the win over Bunnell, scores were 25-12, 25-18, and 25-9. Noel McLeod logged 12 kills, 14 digs, and an ace. Trenton Story had eight kills, five digs, and one ace. Ian Akbas recorded seven kills, three digs, and an ace. Sam Irving had seven digs; Kade Dearney had six kills and seven digs to go along with 29 assists; and Talmaje Bacon logged six digs.
