On Saturday, April 25, C.H. Booth Library, Friends of Newtown Seniors, and Newtown Senior Center sponsored a “Newtown Volunteer Fair.” The event brought together several non-profit organizations that offer volunteer opportunities to individuals who wish to support the growth and development of the town and beyond. The event was well attended, with dozens of guests learning about the mission, programming, and related volunteer opportunities for each organization. Organizations that attended included, but were not limited to, Friends of Newtown Seniors, Friends of the C.H. Booth Library, Town and Country Garden Club, The Garden Club of Newtown, and The AGORA Leadership Development Program, created by resident Bobby Payne.
