Following a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers are very proud to announce the planned return of a Newtown United Methodist Church Spaghetti Supper.

Long known for its monthly dinner events, NUMC will host its first sit-down dinner on Saturday, May 20, from 4 to 7 pm. Dinner will be served in the church hall, 92 Church Hill Road.

Reservations are due all, whether they are planning to join in person or to curbside takeout, so that organizers know how much food to prepare. In-person dining will be ongoing. Reservations are not timed seatings.

The menu will include garden salad, fruit salad, spaghetti or zoodles, choice of sauce (marinara, meat, spicy), garlic bread, and dessert.

Cost is $16 adults, $15 age 62 and older, $8 ages 12 and under.

Gluten-free meals are available for an additional $1.

Meatballs and/or sausage can be added to any meal for $1 each (per meatball or link).

Reservations are due by May 15, and should be called in to 203-217-9732. Messages left on voicemail will be returned.

Candice Rothe and Karan Goodhue are among those working to make sure the returning in-person spaghetti dinner at Newtown United Methodist Church is a great success. Don’t miss out on the fun, though: reservations are due May 15. —Bee Photo, Hicks
