Irene Ulatowski Eckert, 99, of Newtown, formerly of Easton, passed away on April 28, 2020. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Stanley “Stash” Eckert and her son, Michael, whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her son Leslie and his wife, Jane; and two grandchildren, Caroline and Kevin.

Irene spent her life devoted to her family. She was an avid dancer and performed with the Polish Folk Dancing Club in Bridgeport and was an active member of the Newtown Senior Center.

For many years Irene was cared for by the Hewitt Health and Rehab Center nursing staff of Shelton. The family gives them their warmest gratitude.

Irene will be buried at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull next to her husband and son. Memorial service will be at a future date.
