PROVIDENCE, R.I.— The Little East Conference (LEC) announced a total of 29 Western Connecticut State University student athletes to the 2020 Spring All-Academic Team on Tuesday, including junior Lauren Wilcox of Newtown. Wilcox in majoring in elementary education and plays on the WCSU Colonials softball team

A total of 365 student-athletes competing in the LEC’s seven spring championship sports of baseball, softball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s outdoor track & field, and men’s tennis have been named to the list of scholars.

To be named the LEC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least in sophomore standing in the classroom, have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the previous semester, and have been at their current institution for at least one full academic year.
