Art Show At Danbury Hospital

DANBURY — The “Joy of Survival — Expressions of the Cancer Journey Through Art” show, an exhibit featuring original pieces of art created by cancer survivors and others touched by cancer, is being held daily in June at Danbury Hospital.

Open to the public from 8 am to 8 pm, the show is in the Praxair Cancer Center, on the first floor of the Stroock Building, Locust Avenue entrance. Park free in the Red Parking Garage.

Sponsored by the Community Cancer Collaborative, art show features an array of more than 100 pieces of art. Categories include paintings, drawings, oils, watercolors, acrylics, crayons, pastels, photography, poetry, calligraphy, quilts, knitting, crochet and cross stitch, sculptures and jewelry.
