A New England Strawberry Festival
SOUTHBURY â For the 28th year, strawberry lovers of all ages can celebrate the arrival of summer with a traditional New England Strawberry Festival on the green of United Church of Christ, 283 Main Street South/Route 6 in Southbury. This yearâs event will take place on Saturday, June 14, from noon to 3 pm rain or shine.
In addition to plenty of strawberry-based desserts, sweets and snacks, there will be live music, Vanila Swirl the Clown, face painting, childrenâs activities, free blood pressure screenings, and visits with members of Southbury Ambulance volunteers.
The church and its green are three-tenths of a mile north of Southbury Plaza. Take I-84 Exit 15, turn left (from Newtown), and continue straight through two intersections. Call 267-5663 for additional information.
