The car veered to the right, striking the Exit 11 sign and then a pair of trees before overturning in the tree line. Parrott was able to self-extricate from the vehicle, and was then transported by Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps to the hospital for suspected minor injury. A paramedic also responded to the scene. Parrott was issued an infraction for failure to keep in the proper lane. —Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company photo
