Background: Company founder and CEO Susan Bucur said she has been collector and online seller of crystals for years and recently decided to expand to a storefront because she wanted to experience more face-to-face interaction with customers. She was inspired to open New Insights Boutique with her daughter Samantha, as the next step in her own journey of self discovery. “I found that there is great meaning and value to all things that happen in our lives — this was the birth of New Insights Boutique. In my quest for understanding, I have found many useful and beneficial tools to aid in the discovery of one’s true nature. I have come across some of the most gifted and talented people and found that Earth herself provides us with subtle clues to guide us along our paths. Each of us has a story to tell, and each story is important to the whole. Our boutique is meant to be a fun and interesting place to explore and meet like-minded people — and perhaps add value to your search for truth,” she said. “I found personal peace on my life journey through collecting and handling crystals.”

Business focus: New Insights Boutique, which has taken over space in the former Mr. Turtle's School in Sandy Hook Village, offers a multi-colored pallet of natural gemstones and crystals from around the world and includes an ancient crystallized rock formation Susan Bucur believes is 270 million years old. Susan Bucur believes natural elements have a profound influence on one’s state of being and offers gemstones and crystals that may have exceptional healing and metaphysical properties that may assist individuals in meditation practice or enhance the energy of their living space. The shop offers wide selection of crystals, hand-crafted crystal and silver jewelry, hand-blown glass friendship balls and orbs, garden sculptures, and gifts. New Insights also features original nature-themed artwork by Samantha Bucur.
