Authors Gathered At C.H. Booth Library To Celebrate Writing

On Saturday, June 13, C.H. Booth Library held an author fair. The author fair was a community-focused event celebrating local writers and their accomplishments. Authors connected with local residents and talked about the writing process, their work, and how they approach their craft. More than 15 local authors participated.
Other authors in attendance included former Newtown Bee editor Nancy Crevier, Albert Ruggiero, Charles Rafferty, Maria Cianciolo, John Kessler, Elaine Nadal, Christian Basso, Nancy Azzaro, Neil and Ruchin Kansal, Joseph Adomavicia, and others.

Newtown Youth Wrestling Association Head Coach Curtis Urbina, who started a role as an assistant coach with University of Bridgeport this fall, stands with his new book, Where Grit Meets Greatness, at the author fair.
Vicki Boccuzzi (left) and her husband, John Boccuzzi Senior, were also in attendance at the library fair. Vicki had her children’s book, The Life and Times of a Newtown Bear, on display, and John had his book, One God One Goal, on hand, too.
Kristin Ward, an award-winning science fiction and fantasy author and Newtown resident, stands in front of some of her many publications. The popular author is exceptionally prolific and has published more than a dozen books.
