Secretary Of State To Visit Newtown

Susan Bysiewicz, now in her sixth year as Connecticut secretary of the state, will appear at 8 pm on Thursday, July 8, in the Alexandria Room at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street.

During her tenure, Secretary Bysiewicz has worked to make the information housed in her office more accessible to the public, posting all campaign finance reports on the Internet, and providing online access to essential information on the more than 120,000 companies registered to do business in Connecticut.

Ms Bysiewicz has streamlined the business registration process, and provides technical assistance to small and minority-owned businesses. She also saved Connecticut taxpayers money by returning $3.6 million allocated to her office to assist with deficit reduction.
