James Vincent Gaudiosi

A Kind And Loving

Husband And Father

James Vincent “Vince” Gaudiosi, 79, of Newtown, beloved husband and father, died June 30, after a long illness, in the comfort of his home. He was born and raised in Jersey City, N.J.

He is survived by Genevieve, his wife of 40 years, and two daughters, Pamela Nieves of New York and Justine Franco of Vermont. He leaves behind two loving granddaughters; and a son-in-law.

He graduated from St Peter’s College with a bachelor of science in physics, and soon afterwards enlisted in the United States Navy where he became a pilot and was stationed in Pensacola, Fla.  Later, he worked as a senior electrical engineer for Perkin-Elmer for 20 years, retiring in 1987.

Mr Gaudiosi had a passion for the ocean and enjoyed swimming and fishing, especially as a child with his father and uncles. He shared that love of swimming with his daughters. With his granddaughters, he taught them an appreciation of nature and the outdoors, taking them on hikes around his country home. With his wife, he shared adventures of travel and dining, vacationing in Aruba, Hawaii, and Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

While Mr Gaudiosi was a quiet guy, all who knew him will remember his kindness and sense of humor.
