Leokadia Iwaszkiewicz

Leokadia Czaplinska Iwaszkiewicz, 74, widow of Edward Iwaszkiewicz, of Deltona, Fla., formerly of Trumbull, died June 29 peacefully in her home with her family at her side.

She is survived by her daughter, Brygida Iwaszkiewicz Voll of Deltona, Fla.; five sons, Ryszard Iwaszkiewicz and Krzysztof Iwaszkiewicz, both of Easton, Wojciech Iwaszkiewicz of Fairfield, Marek Iwaszkiewicz of Stratford, and Wieslaw Iwaszkiewicz of Monroe; four sisters, Mary Roy of Newtown, Regina Iwaszkiewicz of Bridgeport, Danuta Kuralowicz of Poland, and Teresa Odyniec of Huntington; two brothers, Romould Czaplinski of Stratford, and Telesfor Czaplinski of Poland; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Born in Poland, she came to the United States in 1965. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Roncalli Health Care Center. She had lived in Deltona for the past 19 years.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St Michael the Archangel Church in Bridgeport. Burial was in Mountain Grove Cemetery.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Carmelite Fathers, 141 Carmelite Drive, Bunnell, FL 32110.
