Al Fenton Big Band came to Newtown on Friday, June 26 to celebrate America250. The 18-piece Al Fenton Big Band from South Windsor performed music from the golden era of swing and played favorites such as “Satin Doll” and “Cheek to Cheek,” much to the delight of the crowd. Parks & Rec organized a special concert for the occasion in addition to its Thursday night Summer Concert Series in the park.
