To the Editor:

I would like to publicly thank Tim Haas at the Haas Insurance Agency on Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook for the very generous prize of an amazing Apple watch that I won at the Destination Newtown event held a few weeks ago. I was shocked when I received a call telling me that my name had been pulled as the winner for this Newtown Chamber of Commerce event at the Rock Ridge Country Club.

I have been attending Destination Newtown for many years and have always found it to be an informative and interesting experience. New and established local restaurants have the opportunity to showcase their delicious food and it is always an enjoyable afternoon.  Newtown public agencies, private organizations and businesses also promote their programs and offer guests helpful services.

Thank you, again, to the Newtown Chamber of Commerce for this generous gift.  It was truly a surprise and very much appreciated by our family.
