Paul G. Ivey, Jr, 75, of Sandy Hook, Conn., passed away on June 23, 2022, at his home. Paul was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather.

Paul is survived by his wife of 49 years, Toni; their son Paul G. Ivey, III, and his children, Paul G. Ivey IV and Connor Ivey; and by their son Peter G. Ivey, and his wife, Melanie, and their children, Scarlett J. Ivey and Carter A. Ivey, all of New Milford. Paul is also survived by his daughter, Theresa Plante, and her husband, Dennis; and his son, William Ivey, of Arizona. He is also survived by his sister, Paula Fisher, and her husband, Robert, and their daughter, Suzanne, of Fairfield.

Paul was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and spent his early life in Fairfield, Conn., where he attended school.

Paul’s professional life and career were spent in the telecommunications industry. Paul coached Pop Warner football for many years and he was always delighted, in subsequent years, when he was remembered around town by the players he coached and their families.

Paul was a licensed private pilot, at one time owning a vintage aircraft, a 1948 Stinson Voyager, which he piloted around the country.

He continued his interest in aviation by becoming a skilled builder and flyer of radio-controlled model aircraft. He was credentialed by the Academy of Model Aeronautics as a qualified instructor. The many individuals he introduced to the sport, and those he instructed, will continue his legacy of flight. Paul was a friend to many and he will be missed by all who knew him.
