Caroline Soracin, 98, of Trumbull, the beloved wife of the late William J. Soracin, Sr, died peacefully in her sleep July 31. She was born in Port Chester, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Tomasina and Michael Delvey.

Her loving children, William J. Soracin, Jr, and his wife Carol, of Sandy Hook, Priscilla Soracin-Siwy, and her husband Kenneth, of Stratford, and Carolyn Gossman, and her husband Stephen, of Sarasota, Fla., survive her. Her cherished grandchildren, Michele DeBenedetto, Mark Soracin, and his wife Patty, Scott Soracin, and his wife Julie, and Brett Soracin; as well as her four great-grandchildren will also miss her. In addition to her husband, her brother, her sister, and two stepbrothers preceded her in death.

She was a self-taught seamstress and sewed and crocheted countless items. Her passion, however, was being a devout wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and, overall, a wonderful homemaker.

Funeral services are private and under the direction of the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, in Fairfield Center.
