Family: My husband Simon; and three sons, Max, 21, who’s moving to D.C. in a few weeks after having just finished a two-month tour around the world and graduating from college; Teddy, 19, at Boston College; and Henry, who will be a junior at The Wooster School in Danbury.

How did you meet your husband? I’d just graduated college and he was working here for three months on an assignment. He’s Australian, so he was here for just a short period of time. We dated long distance for two years and then he came over permanently in 1999 to marry me.

Do you have any pets? Tilly, 11, a Bassett hound; and Mae, a golden retriever puppy who’s just over a year old.

Work: I have two jobs now. I was lucky enough to stay home with my three kids while they were growing up, and then when my first left for college I had a moment when it was time to pivot and decide what to do with the rest of my life. I got my real estate license, and I work for Coldwell Banker in Newtown.

I’ve always wanted to own a consignment store, so I’ve used the money that I made from real estate to buy this building. [Erin purchased 31 Hawleyville Road, the historic Hawleyville chapel, in March.] We opened Confession Curated Clothing on June 2.

Are you an active member of any clubs, organizations, and/or communities of faith? I’m part of Candlewood Lake Club in Brookfield, and we’re very involved in the Wooster community as well.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? (Laugh) Stare at my kids.

Do you have a favorite author? Lisa Taddeo, who lives in Washington Depot and wrote my favorite book, Three Women. I’m anxiously awaiting word on her new book.

What was the most recent book you’ve read? I just finished Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

Do you have a favorite podcast? I prefer ones about true crime, and The Hidden Brain on NPR.

What was the most recent concert you went to? Jelly Roll and Post Malone, with my middle kid.

Favorite music genre? I’m starting to like country but I still like pop. I love the 80s too. The 80s are the best. Everything was better then.

Favorite actor? Bradley Cooper.

Do you have any pet peeves? Complainers. And misspelling their, there, or they’re and blaming it on autocorrect.

What is something you cannot live without? My family.

Favorite season? Fall.

What is your favorite thing about Newtown? The sense of community, and the flagpole every day takes my breath away. I’m also starting to really enjoy the events taking place at Edmond Town Hall. I saw Wally Lamb there, and he’s one of my favorite authors. That was really great.
