Two Town Officials Resign

Town employees Dave Thompson and Sheila Knox recently announced their

resignation to First Selectman Bob Cascella.

Mr Thompson, the town's conservation environmental official, will step down

from his post later this month after eight years on the job. He did not state

a reason for his decision to leave.

Mrs Knox, the town's human services director, left on maternity leave in

November but has decided not to return to her position and will instead stay

home to raise her child. Karen Hoyt has been the acting director and will stay

on in that capacity until a decision is made on a replacement, Mr Cascella

said.
