The Newtown Parks and Recreation Department will be moving back to its former location at Town Hall South, underneath the Police Station on South Main Street, and because of the move the department will be closed on Friday, September 8.

The department will re-open Monday, September 11.
Look out for the departmentâs fall schedule, which will be out September 15. Pick up a copy at the office or see it in the Bee. The department has added new programs plus brought back some favorites such as swim lessons.
New for fall will be Creative Play, Puppetry Class, Girlsâ Softball Pitching Lessons, Sea Kayaking, Voice Lessons, Papier Mache Art, Judo, Strategies for Efficient Learning, Language Lessons (French and Spanish) and Intro to Saltwater Fly Fishing.
