Music Centre ‘Nutcracker’ Auditions

DANBURY — Danbury Music Centre will hold auditions on September 19 and 20 to fill all dancing roles in The Nutcracker Ballet.The music center has been presenting the classic holiday ballet for 36 years.

Artistic director and director/choreographer Arthur Fredric, Lisa Denton, co-director/choreographer; and Bianca Johnson, associate director/choreographer, will audition area dancers for roles in Danbury Music Centre’s holiday presentation.

The music will be performed by Danbury Symphony Orchestra under the direction of David Katz.

All roles in the ballet will be filled by open audition. Children ages 7 and older as well as teenagers and adults are invited to audition. Most of the roles are for dancers with formal training, with a very few roles for non-dancers.

Auditions will take plate at Danbury High School. The performances are planned for the weekend of December 12-14.
