Celebrate 50 Years Of Marriage

Longtime Newtowners Doris and Eugene Travis celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a party given by their children Michele Travis, David Travis, and Sandra Lawson, on Sunday, June 3, at The Inn at Newtown. The Travises were married on June 1, 1957.

Mr and Mrs Travis are retired after spending most of their careers at Fairfield Hills Hospital. They have lived in Newtown for 50 years.

They both enjoy spending time with their six grandchildren and excursions with the Senior Center. Mr Travis has been a member of the Rod and Reel Club for more than 50 years and enjoys fishing and gardening, while Mrs Travis quilts, sews, and spends time with the gang at the Senior Center.
