What Does Peace Look Like?

HAMDEN — The public is invited to attend the opening of the national juried art exhibition, “Images of Peace,” at 3 pm, on Sunday, September 23.

The exhibition, which will run from that date until to October 14, will be presented at the Albert Schweitzer Institute at Quinnipiac University, 275 Mount Carmel Avenue. It will be held in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Schweitzer’s call for nuclear disarmament. All of the pieces of art will explore the themes of nuclear disarmament, world peace and/or Schweitzer’s life and work.

Stephen B. Henderson, assistant professor of fine arts in the College of Liberal Arts at Quinnipiac, is the exhibition’s curator and juror.

Visiting hours are Monday through Friday from 9 am to noon and from 1 to 4 pm. Admission is free.

For more information, visit Quinnipiac.edu/artexhibit or call 203-582-3144.
