Town Players To Host Auditions

For Work Adapted From Dickens

Town Players of Newtown announces auditions for The Haunting by Hugh Janes, to be held September 10-11.

In an ancient, crumbling mansion deep in the English countryside, two men stumble upon a dark, terrifying secret that will change their lives forever.

Directed by David Bass of Danbury, The Haunting is adapted from the ghost stories of Charles Dickens. The November-December presentation by Town Players will be the US premiere of the production.

The Haunting calls for two men and one woman, ages 18 and up. Auditions will take place at the theater, 18 Orchard Hill Road in Newtown, on Monday and Tuesday, September 10-11, 7:30 to 9:30 each night. No appointment is necessary. All roles are open and auditions will consist of readings from the script.

Rehearsals will begin later this month, and the production run is scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays, November 9 through December 1, with two Sunday matinee performances.

Town Players’ Little Theatre is a community theater, currently in its 77th season. For additional information call 203-270-9144 or visit NewtownPlayers.org.
