Vigil For Peace: Voices To Unite For Ukrainian Relief

Connecticut Choral Society will unite singers, renowned soloists, and instrumentalists in a “Vigil for Peace,” a benefit concert to support Ukrainian relief efforts. The event will be hosted by Trinity Episcopal Church.

“Vigil for Peace” is part of the Connecticut Choral Society’s 40th anniversary season. Proceeds from the benefit concert will support José Andrés World Central Kitchen Chefs for Ukraine and their efforts to feed millions of Ukrainian refugees.

Under the direction of Eric Dale Knapp, the special performance will feature renowned organist Julian Revie, mezzo-soprano Karolina Wojteczko, violinists Yevgenia and Sander Strenger, the Chime In! Bell Choir, St Thomas More Schola Cantorum, and the Connecticut Choral Society Festival Chorus, uniting choral participants from across the region. The artists are all donating their time and employing the power of music to unite all in peace.

The concert is scheduled for Saturday, September 24, at 7:30 pm, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 36 Main Street in Newtown.

Donations in support of World Central Kitchen Chefs for Ukraine will be accepted at the door.
