To The Editor:

My name is Andrew Marone, and I am excited to be running for an alternate seat on the Planning and Zoning Commission.

My wife and I moved to town almost a year and a half ago, and Newtown already holds a very special place in my heart. This is the town where we chose to plant our roots, and where we brought our first child home. I’m so happy that he will get to grow up here and call Newtown his hometown. It’s because of this that I feel compelled to be a part of the conversation on how best to protect and guide Newtown’s future and why I’m running for an alternate seat on the Planning and Zoning Commission. I believe that my previous service on the Monroe Zoning Board of Appeals and my desire to help ensure that Newtown remains a vibrant, welcoming community for families make me a strong candidate for the position, and I would be honored to serve.

I look forward to talking with members of the community in the coming months, and I hope to earn their vote on November 5th.
