To the Editor:

Protect Our Pollinators wants to thank those who were involved in the planting of a new pollinator garden at the Animal Control Center, which was established last Thursday.

Thanks to the Jeniam Foundation, who made possible the purchase of the plants, to Sarah Middeleer for her wonderful garden design, to Carolee Mason and the staff at Animal Control for their support, to Parks and Recreation for moving and replanting three boxwoods, to Dan Holmes for continued support, and of course to those who did the actual planting — Adria Henderson, Deb Osborne, Holly Kocet, and Linda Dunn.

The garden at the Animal Control Center, being near the meadows and fields at Deep Brook, extends an existing pollinator habitat, which now will support an even greater number of pollinators as well as insects and birds of all kinds. We hope that those who visit Animal Control will enjoy the garden and maybe appreciate its link to the greater landscape.
