Katherine “Kay” Pettinato, 84, of New Fairfield died September 20. She was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, July 18, 1929, the daughter of Kathleen and Paul Arnot Morgan.

Two sons, Morgan, and his wife Laura, of Sandy Hook, and Christian of Massachusetts; two daughters, Julie and Kathryn of Danbury; and two grandchildren survive Mrs Pettinato.

She worked for seven years at the Reader's Digest in Montreal before coming to the United States to marry the love of her life, Bob Pettinato of Philadelphia. Mr Pettinato predeceased her. They were married 51 years.

Mrs Pettinato’s life was her family, and her interests were many. She loved the outdoors, animals, music, and gardening.

There will be no calling hours. Cremation and interment will be private. A memorial will take place at a later date, at the discretion of the family.
