To the Editor:

I am asking you to vote to Alison Plante for Legislative Council in the Third District. Alison comes with outstanding credentials: a University of Pennsylvania grad who has worked at Bridgewater Associates (a notoriously difficult culture) for 11 years. She is a mother of three children, so she cares deeply about Newtown and education.

She is problem-solver by trade, a strategic thinker, and open-minded when it comes to listening and understanding the issues facing Newtown. As ever-changing local and state issues face us, the town will need to consider strategic approaches to meet these challenges. Specifically, Dan Rosenthal will be working on economic development, improving our roads and infrastructure, and will need an experienced person to support this effort.

Alison will be steady and even-keeled, a good communicator, and an extremely composed voice on the council. Also, her contribution to education issues will be supportive toward ensuring that we have excellent and competitive schools. Please join me in voting for Alison this November.
