A weekend event planned by Candlewood Valley Trout Unlimited has been canceled, according to a note on the group’s website.

CVTU had planned to plant upwards of 30 trees to enhance a section along the Pootatuck River on Saturday, October 7. Volunteers were sought to join the group in the conversation efforts.

A note on CVTU’s website now indicates that event has been canceled, however, “due to circumstances beyond our control.” CVTU will post an update when or if the planting is rescheduled.

Registration had been requested from those who were going to assemble near the Deep Brook Preserve.
