To the Editor:

Hello, my name is Barbara Manville. I am a candidate for the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Having taken a hiatus from the Planning and Zoning Commission for two years, my experience on the Commission includes two years as an Alternate and four years as a full Commissioner.

As a Commissioner, I have no alternative motives. I have nothing to prove and nothing to gain. I serve to give back to the community that has given so much to my family and me. Through serving on the Commission, I am proud to have had an influence on development in Newtown.

Professionally, I am an accountant with many years of experience in the private sector.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bryant University and an MBA from Sacred Heart University, my experience brings an objective, dedicated, conscientious and analytical focus to the Commission.

My family moved to Sandy Hook in 1994 for the Newtown School System and the rural nature of the community. Since raising our two sons and downsizing from our house of over 20 years, my love of the community is unwavering.

Please vote for me, Barbara Manville - Planning and Zoning, on November 7th.
